Hanover Action for Sustainable Living
We aim to promote sustainable food growing and offer a friendly welcoming community. We run a weekly garden day and put on free growing related events.
•Hanover10:10 spreads involvement in the national 10:10 campaign at the local community level. Working with residents and businesses to reduce our collective carbon footprint, collaborating with BPEC, Brighton10:10 and The Green Building Partnership.
•Film group- show socially-relevant and community-oriented films around the theme of sustainability. After screening we invite everyone to join in with an informal discussion and social. We run on a donations basis.
•Food waste collective- establish links between food wasters and needy food reciepients. We are starting regular food bank events for groups that work for social benefit. Reducing food waste and taking care of our planet.
•Keep sussex Frack free – we support actions, campaigns and community education to support a fracking free sussex
•Streets are for sharing-we aim to shift from car dominated street mentalities to a mentality where our streets can be seen as a space for sharing a wider range of activities - children's play, conversation, community events and art.
