Member Directory

Our directory lists details of the range of services and activities provided by our 615+ members, all of which are voluntary or community organisations based in Brighton, Hove, Adur or Worthing.

You can search the directory using an organisation’s name, or search by area, type of service, or client group. This directory can be updated, so if you spot any errors, get in touch with us on info@bhcommunityworks.org.uk or 01273 234023, and we’ll do our best to update it.

If you’re a member you can check or change the details we hold on your organisation.

If you’re from a voluntary or community organisation based in Brighton, Hove, Adur or Worthing, you can apply to join us as a member. There are lots of benefits to being a member, including discounted and prioritised access to our services. Once your application has been approved your details will also appear in this directory.

 

The Open Minds Project

The Open Minds Project (TOMP) was created to advocate & resource sufficient literature in society to create understanding & exposure to the lives of black people. The aim is that this diversity in books will become normal & lead to more racial harmony.

The Sid Youth CIC

The Sid Youth delivers support to young people in the Adur and Worthing area.

The Somerset Centre

Somerset Centre founded in 1980 provides supportive social and recreational day services for people over the age of 65 years. We provide transport, lunch, entertainment, activities and trips to local area.

The Spire Arts

The Spire is a creative space for theatre, dance, circus and performance makers, located in the beautiful grade II listed St Marks Chapel in East Brighton. The space is used by both the local community and professional artists.

The Sussex Beacon

The Sussex Beacon provides specialist care and support for people living with HIV. Our services aim to promote independence and improve physical health and emotional wellbeing.

The Treasure Basket Association

Our organisation enables access to play therapy and therapeutic resources to support the emotional well-being of children and their families in the local community.

The Triangle Plot

A new community garden based at the Whitehawk and Craven Vale allotment site. We aim to establish an inclusive community space to support social, physical and mental wellbeing, with an emphasis on therapeutic horticulture and social prescribing.

The Wave Project

We deliver award-winning Surf Therapy courses at Southwick beach. We take referrals of 8-18 year olds, who are experiencing issues with their mental health or who are at risk of isolation. The courses are evidence-based and take place for two hours at the weekend.
