Silver Sounds is an older people's samba band. We specialise in the rhythms of Brazil and South America. We practice weekly and perform at community events. We want to show what older people can do and not concentrate on what we can't do.
Six therapeutic singing groups per week. Five are for older people in general, and anybody any age with long-term health problems (e.g. breathing difficulties, Parkinson’s, Depression, Alzheimer’s, MS, Stroke, Heart conditions, Cancer, mental health problems etc.) A sixth weekly group is for those with mental health issues.

Improving mental health and reducing health inequalities by providing NICE recommended Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) 10 week courses and drop in meditations at our Community Care Centre at 3, Boundary Rd Hove BN3 4EH (near Kingsway coast Rd) We are seeking a contract with the Clinical Commissioning Group of the NHS and Council so that local GPs can refer their depressed patients to us. We are campaigning for this model to be commissioned throughout the city and beyond.
SEAS (Socially Engaged Art Salon) is a BIPOC & LGBTQ led organisation which operates a space for exhibitions, events and workshops. SEAS' work concentrates on socially engaged practices and themes and organises about 5 exhibitions a year.
SCC is based in Sompting, working closely with the community of Sompting, seeking to provide better ways to engage and improve the community in which we live, providing groups for youth, children, community cafe, etc.
