Member Directory

Our directory lists details of the range of services and activities provided by our 550+ members, all of which are voluntary or community organisations based in Brighton, Hove, Adur or Worthing.

You can search the directory using an organisation’s name, or search by area, type of service, or client group. This directory can be updated, so if you spot any errors, get in touch with us on info@bhcommunityworks.org.uk or 01273 234023, and we’ll do our best to update it.

If you’re a member you can check or change the details we hold on your organisation.

If you’re from a voluntary or community organisation based in Brighton, Hove, Adur or Worthing, you can apply to join us as a member. There are lots of benefits to being a member, including discounted and prioritised access to our services. Once your application has been approved your details will also appear in this directory.

 

The Wave Project

We deliver award-winning Surf Therapy courses at Southwick beach. We take referrals of 8-18 year olds, who are experiencing issues with their mental health or who are at risk of isolation. The courses are evidence-based and take place for two hours at the weekend.

The Womens Hub

We are a Worthing based community group whose aims are to bring together women of all races, religions, backgrounds to come together socially to get to know each other better, learn from one another and develop a better understanding of each other.

TheHop50+

Centre and cafe (for 50+ in Brighton and Hove). Provides support and information, healthy home-cooking and refreshments. Activities: art, exercise, discussion, quizzes, IT, speakers, demonstrations, trips, alternative therapies, hairdressing, chiropody.

Tide of Light Community Group

The Tide of Light Community Group provide a community arts focused event for the whole community. Every Autumn they host an award winning illuminated parade and celebration.

Time to Talk Befriending

Time to Talk Befriending aims to reduce loneliness and isolation felt by hundreds of older people living in Brighton and Hove through an inter-generational befriending scheme.

TKD180

Promotion of community participation in healthy recreation by the provision of facilities and coaching of Martial Arts and fitness for people of Brighton and Hove who in particular but not exclusively face barriers to inclusion.

Together Co

Together Co is an award-winning and expanding Brighton & Hove-based charity that provides befriending, advocacy and other support services to people who are isolated because of age, disability or poor mental or physical health.

Together in Sussex

Together in Sussex helps churches across East and West Sussex deliver better social welfare projects such as food banks, advice services, mental health support, loneliness and isolation initiatives and community cohesion projects.
