Free University Brighton (FUB) is a cooperative, community-led
organisation that provides and promotes free educational events across
the City of Brighton & Hove. Our aim is to grow an alternative education

sessions, lectures, talks, film screenings discussion and debate in a
wide variety of subjects. We also offer degree-level courses in Social
Sciences, Philosophy, and Feminism, Gender & Sexuality.

We organise local events to fund-raise for Freedom from Torture, the UK charity which provides medical treatment, psychotherapy and other support for survivors of torture. We work to promote awareness of human rights and issues related to asylum.
We repair, rebuild and refurbish power wheelchairs for the disabled. We also bespoke build and customise powerchairs for special needs.
Fresh Start Portslade offer a range of community activities for all ages and backgrounds in the Portslade area. This also includes employment young people in the BN41 and BN3 postcodes.
