Our directory lists details of the range of services and activities provided by our 550+ members, all of which are voluntary or community organisations based in Brighton, Hove, Adur or Worthing.

You can search the directory using an organisation’s name, or search by area, type of service, or client group. This directory can be updated, so if you spot any errors, get in touch with us on info@bhcommunityworks.org.uk or 01273 234023, and we’ll do our best to update it.

If you’re a member you can check or change the details we hold on your organisation.

If you’re from a voluntary or community organisation based in Brighton, Hove, Adur or Worthing, you can apply to join us as a member. There are lots of benefits to being a member, including discounted and prioritised access to our services. Once your application has been approved your details will also appear in this directory.

Forward Facing is a registered charity working with groups who have self esteem issues.

Free University Brighton

Free University Brighton (FUB) is a cooperative, community-led
organisation that provides and promotes free educational events across
the City of Brighton & Hove. Our aim is to grow an alternative education
system that benefits us all, whoever we are, whatever our financial
means.

We offer free courses, practical workshops, introductory taster
sessions, lectures, talks, film screenings discussion and debate in a
wide variety of subjects. We also offer degree-level courses in Social
Sciences, Philosophy, and Feminism, Gender & Sexuality.

Our aim is to turn public spaces into classrooms, enabling communities
to come together to think, develop, learn, enquire, question the world
around us and to explore how it could be different and better.

Freedom from Torture Supporters Group

We organise local events to fund-raise for Freedom from Torture, the UK charity which provides medical treatment, psychotherapy and other support for survivors of torture. We work to promote awareness of human rights and issues related to asylum.

Freedom PowerChairs Ltd

We repair, rebuild and refurbish power wheelchairs for the disabled. We also bespoke build and customise powerchairs for special needs.

Fresh Start Portslade

Fresh Start Portslade offer a range of community activities for all ages and backgrounds in the Portslade area. This also includes employment young people in the BN41 and BN3 postcodes.

Fresh Youth Perspectives

We are a new community group borne out of necessity. Our mission statement is "mentoring for Youth well-being & equality". We are a grassroots action group with a solutions focused approach.

Friday Friends

Lunch club for local residents from Moulsecoomb and the surrounding estates. Committed to supporting people with mobility issues to participate by providing disability access transport. Friendly volunteers,hearty lunch, pudding, teas & coffee.

Friends Centre

Aims to provide a wide range of high quality learning opportunities for adults. It is an accessible first base for those whose educational and employment opportunities have been limited.
