Our directory lists details of the range of services and activities provided by our 550+ members, all of which are voluntary or community organisations based in Brighton, Hove, Adur or Worthing.
You can search the directory using an organisation’s name, or search by area, type of service, or client group. This directory can be updated, so if you spot any errors, get in touch with us on email@example.com or 01273 234023, and we’ll do our best to update it.

If you’re from a voluntary or community organisation based in Brighton, Hove, Adur or Worthing, you can apply to join us as a member. There are lots of benefits to being a member, including discounted and prioritised access to our services. Once your application has been approved your details will also appear in this directory.
Supporting visually impaired children and young adults
We are a residents committee set up to ensure the safety and hygiene of our community in Brighton.
Imagine not being able to ask for what you want in the shop or cafe or on public transport. Not being able to ask for help when you are lost or just want to know if the bus you are hoping to catch has gone. Imagine not being able to communicate.
If you have ever been lost in a strange country, where you don't speak the language and cannot read the signs you will know how frightening it can be. How frustrating it is not to be able to ask for help.
If you have a difficulty communicating this may not be something you can easily do. Other people may not be able to understand what you are asking for, or may think you are being rude and may even try to ignore you because they don't know how to help.
With BlueAssist we provide a simple system that allows you to ask for help, to ask for something in a shop, to tell someone what you need.
Helping physically handicapped people. Arranging trips to theatres and clubs, outings, bowling, lunches, the doctors and dentist. Provides disabled transport, door to door at reasonable cost. Runs a charity shop that takes in donated goods.
Credit Union - Provides ethical savings and loans.
Promotes cycling as an environmentally friendly alternative to private motor transport. Campaigns for better conditions for cycling, both on road and off.
A network of locals exchanging goods, skills or services by trading in 6 Brights per hour: it's barter without finding an exact match. Everyone has something to offer.
Brighthelm is an example of Church and Community working in partnership. We provide meeting rooms to the voluntary and public sector, with special evening community rates. We have a community café and various community activities.
