Leadership Development Mentoring Programme – apply now!

Our Mentoring Programme to develop leadership skills in the local community and voluntary sector is now open for applications.

The Covid-19 pandemic has created many immediate and additional challenges for organisations, and with longer-term changes ahead, our mentoring programme is available to support those in leadership roles (as a member of staff or volunteer) or those leading programmes, projects or teams.

Our programme matches people in organisations in Brighton, Hove, Adur or Worthing with experienced, volunteer mentors who provide one-to-one support.

After the matching process, which sees the pairing up of mentees and mentors who have complimentary interests, you will meet once a month for up to six months.

We are able to offer up to 20 places.  There is no charge to take part, thanks to funding from the American Express Fund, through Sussex Community Foundation.

This year’s programme will look a little different to previous years, with our support events being held online, a new web-based platform from which you can manage your mentoring relationship and the option of whether you meet face-to-face or online with your mentor.

If you would like to find out more, please visit our mentoring programme page to read about the programme, what’s involved and how to apply.

The deadline for applications is midday on Monday 5 October.

Since hosting the Mentoring Programme from 2013, over 150 charity workers, volunteers and trustees have benefited from being a mentee.

“I have been through a lot of change at my organisation and have been provided with support from various places. I got the best value and support from my mentor and this mentoring programme. ”
