Equality symposium: thriving not (just) surviving

This one day event will explore the issue of hardship as faced by our communities. The programme will provide a mixed input of statistics, data, practice reflection and frontline experience through which to explore the themes at hand.

Aside from the negative impact of hardship, the day will look to the positive interventions and practices that may enable people to thrive rather than simply just (about) survive, with a particular focus on individuals from BAME communities and the Deaf/deaf community.
