Cllr Emma Daniel calls for organisations to complete Taking Account 4

As you may be aware a really important survey of the community and voluntary sector in Brighton & Hove is currently underway – called Taking Account 4.  As the councillor with responsibility for the council’s relationship with and investment in the community and voluntary sector I fully support the survey.  The data and information it provides will inform council decision making and policy development.

The sector here in Brighton and Hove is unlike any in the country; its diversity, its energy, its commitment and its creativity are inspiring. I am committed to making sure that the council does everything that it can to help you survive and thrive.

I appreciate that completing the survey takes you away from your work and when capacity is limited this is a challenge, however, the more groups and organisations that complete the survey, the better quality data and information is produced and the more impactful the findings are.

This is a key opportunity for the community and voluntary sector to collectively show its impact, importance and critical role in the health and well-being of our city. Community Works are facilitating the survey so if you have any questions about it, please email takingaccount@bhcommunityworks.org.uk

Thank you in advance for finding the time to complete the survey. I really appreciate your time and attention.

Kind regards

Cllr Emma Daniel
Lead Member for Communities, Equality and Third Sector
Brighton and Hove City Council
