5 Top Tips for Volunteers’ Week
Volunteers’ Week (1-7 June) is an annual celebration of the fantastic contribution millions of UK volunteers make to our society.
Here are some inspired ideas on how to thank your volunteers for their time, energy and commitment.
1. A VIRTUAL THANK YOU.
Virtually applaud your volunteers across social media. Why not record a short thank you video to post? Remember to use #VolunteersWeek.
2. SHARE THEIR STORIES.
Sharing inspirational volunteers’ stories is a great way to recognise the individuality of each of your volunteers and thank them for all the great things they’re doing. Give them a shout out on social media or dedicate a page on your website to volunteers’ stories.
3. A THANK YOU GIFT.
Show your appreciation with a small gift. Make it more personal by choosing a gift relevant to each of your individual volunteers.
4. A THANK YOU GET TOGETHER.
Now we can all mingle in person, gather your volunteers together for a coffee morning, or picnic lunch. Not only is this a lovely way to say thank you but also a great opportunity for your volunteers to connect.
5. A GLITZY THANK YOU.
The last two years have been challenging so why not push the boat out and host an awards ceremony to celebrate and recognise the achievement of your volunteers. Create individual certificates to confirm the incredible things they have done.
