Free University Brighton (FUB) is a cooperative, community-led organisation that provides and promotes free educational events across the City of Brighton & Hove. Our aim is to grow an alternative education system that benefits us all, whoever we are, whatever our financial means. We offer free courses, practical workshops, introductory taster sessions, lectures, talks, film screenings discussion and debate in a wide variety of subjects. We also offer degree-level courses in Social Sciences, Philosophy, and Feminism, Gender & Sexuality. Our aim is to turn public spaces into classrooms, enabling communities to come together to think, develop, learn, enquire, question the world around us and to explore how it could be different and better.
