Volunteer Peer Supporters for young people with Special Educational Needs or Disabilities
Young People aged 18+ (no older than 27) with and without Special Educational Needs or Disabilities (SEND) will be trained to be Volunteer Peer Supporters. They will provide support to young people aged 14-25 with SEND. Volunteers will support the young people with SEND to access leisure, education, volunteering, employment opportunities and may support them at important meetings.
Volunteers will have regular team and one to one supervision.
All out of pocket expenses will be paid.
SkillsWe are looking for young people who live in Brighton and Hove, aged 18+ who would like to help other young people. They will need to be able to read and write.

The training and supervision of volunteers will take place at Amaze, which is in Community Base, 113 Queen's Road, Brighton BN1 3XG. It is in the centre of Brighton and is a 5 minute walk from Brighton train station which is at the top of Queen's Road. Buses from all areas of Brighton stop nearby, either on Queen's Road, Churchill Square or Brighton train station.
