Cafe Volunteer at Foredown Tower

Foredown Tower offers the opportunity for a volunteer to work in the café mainly on Tuesdays with the ability to be flexible to cover occasional other days due to absence/sickness.

Main duties include;

  • Serving drinks and wrapped snacks to students attending classes
  • Welcoming members of the public.
  • Liaising with other volunteers about camera obscura showings
  • Keeping the café clean and tidy.

Foredown Tower is run entirely by volunteers, and there is potential to make yourself a niche in the running and development of the Tower according to your interests/skills.

  • A friendly, flexible person to join a small team of volunteers.
  • Should be able to deal with a rush at break times and occupy yourself when there are no customers.
  • Basic maths required for adding up in café and cashing up.
  • Good standards of hygiene to ensure washing up is hygienic and counter/café kept clean and tidy.
  • Must be able to get on with a large variety of people.
