Crime Reduction Initiatives
I moved to Brighton in 1985 and have been involved in the local voluntary and community sector for over 20 years. For the last 15 years I have been part of the leadership team within Crime Reduction Initiatives (CRI). During this time CRI has grown from being a small local charity to one of the largest health, social care and criminal justice providers in England and Wales.
I have significant experience of strategic planning, change management, designing organisational support services and of working with a range of private, public and voluntary and community organisations.
I believe that the voluntary and community sector is the most vibrant, innovative and important sector in delivering real change when working with client groups experiencing multitudes of disadvantages.
I use my expertise to help steer our organisation through this period of significant change and immense challenge. I seek to protect the interests of smaller community groups and the voluntary and community sector more generally. We need a strong, confident and robust representative organisation and I’ll use my energy and passion to make sure we build upon our past successes.
