Worthing Community Chest awards grants of up to £1,500 to non profit groups in the borough.
Worthing Counselling Centre (formerly Offington Counselling Service) provides safe and sound support in Worthing and beyond. Established for 33 years and BACP accredited, we have team of 20 counsellors. As a charity, we aim to provide counselling as widely as possible.
Worthing Rethink is an education and support group for people who look after friends or family who experience mental health issues.
To help young people, especially but not exclusively through leisure-time activities, so as to develop their capabilities that they may grow to full maturity as individuals and members of society, and that their conditions of life may be improved.
Provides a wide range of housing units with varied levels of support. Access - via local authority referral only. Each project has staff on-site to assist young people in developing skills to enable the transition between dependence and independence.
Youth and community organisation. Our main activities include youth work advice and counselling, housing advice and provision, and key skills training. Supported by charity shops, with a variety of volunteering opportunities.
The Young People's Centre is a free space for young people, a safe haven to come and relax, chat to people and volunteers.
We provide services and support for young people aged 13-25 in partnership with other key agencies. We are managed by IMPACT INITIATIVES, a well-established local charity commited to addressing social and economic disadvantages across Sussex.
Drop-in services for 13-25 year olds (sexual health, listening support, computer, jobs/education, signposting and referral); Connexions Plus; community counselling, sexual health and NEET work; Experience in Mind training programme.
