A youth led, volunteering project for young people aged 16-25 which promotes young people's emotional health and well being through the provision of resilience building activities and involvement in awareness raising campaigns.
Rise supports women, children and young people affected by domestic abuse though advice, advocacy, support and crisis accommodation. We run specialists training courses on domestic abuse for professionals and deliver preventative education in schools.
Therapeutic horticulture for vulnerable adults (homelessness, addiction issues, mental health issues, etc.), empowering people to achieve physical, spiritual and emotional health and wellbeing. We provide education, training, research, skills and work experience opportunities.
Based in Shoreham by Sea Ropetackle Arts Centre is predominantly staffed by volunteers. The centre provides quality arts entertainment events for the Adur District and beyond.
"Service above Self' is Rotary's motto. Our club meets lunchtimes every week at the Royal Albion. We plan projects supporting the community locally and internationally. We have a programme of fund-raising and social events.
Rottingdean in Bloom is a small voluntary group involved in beautifying the village, in maintaining a few garden beds and some 50 plant containers. Also organising the sponsorship of around 20 hanging baskets.
