ABC is a forum for residents and service providers to discuss all issues or activities pertaining to the Bevendean area. It is also the 'umbrella' organisation for several important sub-groups active locally. We delegate issues or concerns appropriately.
We are a community group of volunteers set up in 2012 to take action to increase happiness in Brighton. We hold talks, film screenings, interactive workshops and social events. We are a not-for-profit group with no political or religious affiliations.
The Sussex Community Outreach Team provides outreach support in the community to adults who are deaf/have hearing loss or tinnitus and an additional need such as a learning disability, mental health issue or old age frailty.
Low cost complementary therapy treatment to people with acute or chronic illnesses, disabilities, mental health issues and carers, especially when difficult economic circumstances hinders access to such treatments. We work with community groups and hospitals.
Active Student works with students and staff at the University of Brighton to find them rewarding, safe and supported volunteering opportunities within the local community. Actors of Dionysus was founded in 1993 to put flesh on the bones of Ancient Greek drama. In the last 20 years we have taken our productions across the globe, touring nationally and internationally and have become known for our 'rapid, smooth and satisfyingly poetic' (Time Out) new versions of this rich canon of ancient drama.
