Community Works in Adur and Worthing

Background

In December 2015, we responded to an open tender process for the contract to deliver infrastructure support services to voluntary and community organisations in Adur and Worthing. Pursuing this contracting opportunity aligns with our charity’s goals of supporting the voluntary and community sector and the decision to bid was fully considered by our Board of Trustees. We were successful with our tender and will assume responsibility for delivering infrastructure services contracted by Adur and Worthing Councils, with a provisional start date of 1 July 2016.

Sector Support in Adur and Worthing

We are delighted to have the opportunity to support voluntary and community organisations in Adur and Worthing. We have a very strong, high-quality offer based on the learning we’ve gained providing infrastructure services in Brighton and Hove over the last 18 years.

We will set-up a local office and Adur and Worthing voluntary and community organisations will be invited to become members of Community Works to access our services. We will develop our services to suit the Adur and Worthing context, by listening and learning from local groups about what they need and shaping our offer in response.
